The moment Stingray’s entertainment inside the vehicle truly came into focus was at the Montreal Auto Show.
Spending time in the Ford F-150 Lightning* made it easy to imagine how karaoke can help make time inside the vehicle more enjoyable, especially with road trip season right around the corner. Whether families are stopped to charge or want to sing along to their favorite tunes to pass the time.
At Stingray, the goal has always been simple: bring people together through music. For years, that connection happened at home, on the couch, through shared screens, playlists, and familiar songs.
As listening habits evolve, so does Stingray’s approach. Today, that same entertainment philosophy is extending into new spaces where people already spend meaningful time, including the vehicle.
In select Ford vehicles, we collaborated with Ford to create a unique drivetime experience for friends and family in the passenger seat to enjoy Stingray Karaoke while driving, in addition to using the app while parked via the in-vehicle screen.
When the app is launched on the in-vehicle screen, the vehicle will detect if a passenger is buckled and sitting in the front seat and a QR code will appear on the screen.** The passenger can use their smartphone to scan the QR code and a webpage will open to control the karaoke experience from their smartphone without having to login to an app. Passengers can add songs to their playlist, change songs, view scrolling lyrics and utilize the vehicle’s audio system.
This unique feature is ideal for connecting with those inside the vehicle. The moments that happen between destinations matter, and thoughtful in-vehicle experiences can make everyday drives feel more connected.
Both Stingray and Ford believe in the power of creating joy inside the vehicle and delivering amazing experiences for people.
Think about all that happens in our life inside the vehicle. School drop-offs in the morning. Commutes that double as decompression time. Evenings spent driving from one activity to the next. In those moments, the car becomes more than transportation. It becomes a shared space where moods shift, conversations unfold, and everyone tries to arrive a little less tired than when they left.
That is where karaoke inside the vehicle fits naturally. It shows up in small, familiar moments. A long drive home after a tournament, when energy is fading but no one is quite ready for silence because the team just won a big game. A weekend road trip where the hours stretch out and the journey becomes part of the story as everyone sings along to mom’s favorite song from the 90s. Even short drives across town can turn into moments of laughter that reset the day.
These moments are not extraordinary. They are routine. And that is exactly why they matter. Entertainment in the car is not about spectacle. It is about helping time pass, easing tension, and creating pockets of connection where they already exist. Over time, those drives become memories.
From couch to car, Stingray’s approach remains consistent. Meet people where they are and use music to bring them together. No matter if they are at home or on the road or somewhere in-between, singing along the way wherever comes next. What will you be singing in your Ford, this Spring?
