Stingray takes home International Broadcast Group of the Year and International Radio Programmer of the Year
Montreal, April 1, 2019 – Stingray (TSX: RAY. A; RAY. B.), a leading music, media, and technology company, was presented with two prestigious awards on March 29 at the World Radio Summit, the annual industry convention that attracts broadcast professionals from around the world: International Broadcast Group of the Year and International Radio Programmer of the Year. Stingray received these honours despite stiff competition from leading radio broadcast groups and professionals from around the world.
Only 6 months after entering the radio market with the acquisition of Newfoundland Capital Corporation Limited, one of Canada’s leading radio broadcasters, Stingray was named International Radio Broadcast Group of the Year for 2019, a category that attracts entries from top broadcast groups worldwide. This award confirms that Stingray is already making waves in the radio industry, on par with last year’s winner, Virgin Radio Group.
