Montreal, April 1, 2021 - Beginning Monday, April 5th, a new sound sweeps over Alberta and across the Rockies into BC, as Stingray Radio Launches ‘Rock of The West’. This highly-interactive show will be broadcast live from 7pm to midnight MST, Monday to Friday on Stingray Classic Rock Stations across Western Canada including:
- K-97 Edmonton
- K96-3 Kelowna
- Zed 98.9 Red Deer
Hosted by veteran broadcaster Travis Currah, the show will spotlight the best classic rock and prominently feature listeners from all over Alberta and the Interior of B.C. Rock of the West will celebrate our similarities and highlight our rivalries, like your love or dislike for the Oilers, Flames and Canucks, but it will always bring you back to the one thing that brings us all together, classic rock! The music you grew up with.
“I can’t wait for this,” says Currah, “to be hosting a show like this across western Canada, to be able to bring fans of Classic Rock all together, while having some fun, pointing out our rivalries, this is going to be a lot of fun.”
Rock of the West launces on Monday April 5th at 6pm PST/7pm MST on K-97 Edmonton, Zed 98-9, Red Deer and K96-3, Kelowna.
