Stingray introduces a bold new look and feel for Stingray Brava and Stingray DJAZZ
Montreal, October 3, 2016 — Stingray Digital Inc. is proud to offer classical music and jazz aficionados a new way to experience the music that moves them: Stingray Brava and Stingray DJAZZ.
Following the July 2015 acquisition of Brava and DJAZZ.tv, Stingray has rolled out refreshed and contemporary new looks for the channels, which have been rebranded as Stingray Brava and Stingray DJAZZ.
Same Great Programming
Both channels will continue offering viewers the same expertly-curated programming they have come to expect from the teams behind the leading television channels dedicated to classical music and jazz.
“I am thrilled to be reintroducing Stingray Brava and Stingray DJAZZ after a journey of over a year,” said Eric Boyko, President, Co-founder and CEO. “We worked closely with the channels’ original content and artistic teams to develop designs that represent the quality programming and will connect with new and existing viewers. I am confident Stingray Brava and Stingray DJAZZ will find their audience with lovers of music everywhere.”
New Look and Feel
Music fans will be greeted by an entirely new experience – including bold and exciting channel designs, new logos and colours.
The new Stingray Brava design was inspired by the grandiose interiors of the world’s most beautiful performance halls. The gold and black colour palette, borrowed from the wood and copper of musical instruments, reflects the brand’s sense of tradition, elegance and sophistication while the use of the Argo font creates a resolutely modern and approachable feel. Striking visual elements and a textured background add depth to the viewing experience.
Stingray DJAZZ introduces a red and black colour palette reminiscent of the jazz aesthetics of the ‘20s and ‘30s. The channel’s design, with its focus on artists’ portraits, is an homage to the musicians – both legendary and forgotten – of the smoke-filled jazz club scene of today and decades past. The font used in the logotype was created especially for Stingray DJAZZ; giving it a distinctive, edgy and original feel.
Enhanced Online Experience
The Stingray Brava and Stingray DJAZZ experience continue online with brand new web platforms.
Each website has been rethought to provide visitors with an immersive experience that includes increased visual and video content, as well as fast and easy access to schedules by program type.
A Commitment to Great Music
These redesign efforts reflect Stingray’s commitment to offering viewers the best experience across all platforms and mark a crucial step in the global development plans for Stingray Brava and Stingray DJAZZ, currently market leaders in Europe. Stingray aspires to make both channels available and indispensable to music connoisseurs worldwide.
“Music is at the heart of Stingray. The extensive work put into redesigning Stingray Brava and Stingray DJAZZ is a testament to our passion,” said Rob Overman, Artistic Director, Europe, for Stingray. “Joining the Stingray family is a tremendous opportunity to bring our love of classical music and jazz to an even wider audience. The looks may have changed, but the unmatched quality programming will stay the same.”
