Montreal, January 30, 2019 – Do you love singing? Ever imagine harmonizing with a chart-topping artist? Thanks to the new “Sing with the Stars” feature on Stingray’s Yokee Karaoke app, your dream can come true!
At the tap of a button, fans can now sing duets with their favorite artists on Yokee and share the video with friends, family, the Yokee community, and on social media. Yokee, a social singing app that has been downloaded by over 80 million users, boasts a huge song selection and many social media sharing features. The app is particularly popular with the 16-25 age group.
Gabriella, a 25-year-old singer-songwriter-composer and The Voice France contestant - whose rendition of Coldplay’s “The Scientist” was viewed more than 200 million times on the internet (all platforms combined) - is the first artist to record exclusive tracks for Yokee’s “Sing with the Stars.” Starting today, Yokee users can sing along with Gabriella on her version of “The Scientist,” by Coldplay. In the coming weeks, Gabriella’s songs “On cherche encore (Never get enough),” “Tu es flou,” and “Sorrow” will be added to the app. Gabriella has achieved an impressive fan base all around the world with both original material and covers.
In the next months, Stingray plans to conclude and announce agreements with additional artists for pre-recorded original songs and covers.
“We are delighted to introduce Yokee’s ‘Sing with the Stars’ feature by teaming up with Gabriella, an incredibly talented singer who has been making waves on both sides of the Atlantic,’’ said Mathieu Péloquin, Senior Vice-President, Marketing and Communications of Stingray. “This new feature offers artists a powerful tool to connect and engage with their fans on a very personal level. We cannot wait to see how Yokee users channel their inner superstars and share their duets with the world.”
