Stingray Names Valérie Héroux as Vice President, Content Acquisition and Programming

Montreal, October 21, 2019 – Stingray Digital Group Inc. (TSX: RAY.A; RAY.B), a leading multiplatform music and video services provider, today announced that Valérie Héroux will join its management team as Vice-President, Content Acquisition and Programming, effective November 11. In her position, Ms. Héroux, who will be based in Montreal and report to Mathieu Péloquin, will oversee Stingray’s content and programming team as well as publishing and label relations to advance Stingray’s content strategy.

Ms. Héroux brings over 10 years of experience in media and broadcasting, with a proven track record of negotiating commercial agreements between large-scale media companies. Joining Stingray as a seasoned executive, she will contribute her legal and CRTC regulatory expertise to forge strong and lasting partnerships, and further enable cooperation with key media players.

Ms. Héroux comes to Stingray from Vidéotron, where she was Senior Director of Content and Strategic Partnerships. In this role, she led numerous strategic negotiations as well as CRTC commercial arbitrage. She also oversaw the development and execution of business plans to distribute over 200 channels, including their On-Demand content for all media platforms. In addition, her credentials include experience as Senior Legal Counsel for Québecor Média, where she was the chief negotiator for the renewal of the UDA and Groupe TVA’s collective agreement, enabling new multiplatform rights for internal productions and the hiring of artists.
